The city that kept its night buses

A hospital cleaner starts collecting stories from passengers on the last bus home. When the route faces closure, those accounts reveal a city missing from the daytime surveys. The council agrees to a trial designed by the passengers themselves. Years later, the driver keeps the original notebook beside a map of routes that now connect the whole city after midnight.
